Macfrut Digital: An exclusive programme for buyers from all over the world

The 2020 edition of Macfrut, to be held from 8 to 10 September, will be fully digital. This platform will enable participants to arrange and manage business meetings with exhibitors, with a fast track for buyers: in fact, if they register by 25 July, they will be entitled to VIP access, which includes several advantages and a personalised agenda

Cesena, 18th June 2020 – It is not a marketplace, but a unique event with an effective, simple and convenient format, featuring an area dedicated to exhibitors and a conference area. We are talking about Macfrut Digital, the 2020 edition of Macfrut, the international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector organised by Cesena Fiera, which will launch a new and innovative trade fair that will be hosted fully online.

From 8 to 10 September, participants from all over the world will therefore have the opportunity to visit the stands of companies in the industry – which have recently started joining this new project with great enthusiasm – from their PCs, tablets or smartphones. But it will not be just a visit: B2B meetings will take centre stage along with buyers, who will be able to create their own personalised agenda during the three-day event by joining the “B2B Programme”.

In order to access these benefits, buyers – and buyers only – must register via the online registration form by 25 July to receive VIP access. With this exclusive pass, they will be able to start scheduling their appointments in advance. In fact, exhibiting companies will be able to browse through buyers’ profiles and, vice versa, buyers will be able to find information about the companies that will have their own virtual stand on the platform. In August, the B2B programme of each buyer will be finalised, and the professional concerned must then confirm by the end of the month. Business meetings will be held during the three days of the trade fair (8, 9 and 10 September) via the videoconferencing system of the Natlive platform hosting the entire virtual showcase.

‘A digital trade fair of this kind has a much larger user base, since it eliminates distances and saves time,’ said Renzo Piraccini, President of Macfrut. ‘We are extremely pleased to see that this project is proving to be a huge success among international players. Thanks to our collaboration with ICE - Italian Trade Agency, we are promoting the involvement of buyers from all over the world and inviting them to participate, especially those who, due to distance issues, would not have been able to get to Rimini to take part in the physical trade fair,’ Piraccini concluded.

How Macfrut Digital will take place

Macfrut Digital will consist of two areas: the Exhibition and the Forum. Besides buyers, who will benefit from an exclusive programme, other sector professionals can also participate by registering on the macfrutdigital.com website (free of charge). Visitors from all over the world will be able to access and participate in this three-day virtual trade fair by using a personal device (PC, tablet or smartphone). Once logged in, they will be able to view an interactive map broken down by product sector and explore all the virtual “stands” to find out more about each exhibitor’s product range, request information and schedule live streamed B2B meetings.
