GROW Ghana initiative launched by YARA in Ghana

Yara Ghana recently launched the ‘Grow Ghana’ initiative at the Yara terminal in Tema, Ghana's dominant port. An estimated 100,000 farmers will benefit from the high-quality YaraMila Actyva fertilizer under the "Grow Ghana" initiative.

Various partners are expected to assist in the last mile distribution and technical support to smallholder farmers in Ghana.

The initiative includes a specialised tracking and tracing application to ensure that farmers actually benefit from the product relief.

Grow Ghana is also part of a series of programs designed to increase investments that will support the resilience of smallholder farmers, including women, through access to improved agricultural technologies and inputs like fertilizer, financing, and markets.

The launch was attended by Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Minister of Food and Agriculture - Ghana, as well as senior representatives from the US Embassy, USAID and Yara.
